Captain William Kimball Merrill, son of Paul William Merrill and Georgia Granger Merrill. Born on 26 Feb 1922 in Windsor, Connecticut, enlisted in the U.S. Army 25 Nov 1940 in Miami, FL, served in the 108th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division, died 27 Mar 1945 in the Philippine Campaign, awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star posthumously.
