I discovered Lt. Reidelberger's story when a friend who is the owner of the farm in Kentucky researched the crash. I thought his story should be known.
Lt. Reidelberger was the co-pilot of a B26 that crash landed on a field in Bloomfield, Ky, June 11, 1943. The plane encountered mechanical failures and was descending, he and the pilot stayed with the plane as six other crew members parachuted. The pilot survived the crash, Lt. Paul J. Reidelberger did not.
