I served in Vietnam with LCPL Jimmy Goodell. I was with him the night he was killed outside of our Company's Enlisted Men's Club. I don't think the truth of his death was ever told. I saw it. It has eaten at me for over 54 years now. He was due to rotate home to the United States the very next day. He was a really nice, really unassuming Marine. My singlemost memory of him has always been how much he talked about, how strong he felt about a girl from back home, whom he worshiped, whom he said he was going to marry....
