Clifford Ellington was my uncle, my mother's brother. My grandmother had 9 daughters and two sons, Clifford was the oldest. He was a medic in the war and died (I am told), in the Battle of the Bulge when my mom 6 years old. Although I never met you, you died long before I was born, I think of you and your courage often. I know my mom did as well. Rest in peace Uncle Clifford.

Mary Hammer, Clifford Ellington was my uncle, the only son of my grandmother - Mary Ellen Padgett (Walker) and my mother's brother. He died when she was a young child.
