Richard Hite was born Dec 20, 1923. His family moved to Edgewood, PA about 1937. He was a pilot trained on P-38s but flew P-47s and B-25s also. He was stationed in Paris as a pilot with the 326th Squadron, 1st Transport Group ferrying new aircraft to the front. He died on Jan 8, 1944 in a crash at St. Dizier Airfield in France. He is buried in Plot A Row 6 Grave 53 Epinal Military Cemetery, France.
