Memorial Day 2014
Mom and I will be down to visit you and attend the services for all our American Heroes , It will probably my last as I am moving out of state , We shared some Happy and Sad times there , it just never get better .
Know that I will make sure your short life and your sacrifice is never forgotten , I've passed on the value of remembering our families history and the importance of who you were and will always be.
Please share a holiday memory of your parent (i.e. birthday, religious holiday, vacation).
I've been to The Wall in Washington,DC a few times to Honor you and to many different traveling replicas and have spent time with the guys from the 173RD , even come across some friends of yours from High School .
How has the loss of your parent impacted your family?
It devastated my family , his Mother and Father were never the same , my Sister and I never had the chance to know him , it has been difficult !
What did you like to do with your parent?
Someday We will throw some Baseball , it was my passion too .
What did you love most about your parent?
I am told that I am just like him .
What do you miss most about your parent?
That I never had the chance to See , Touch , Smell , Laugh , or hug him .
What has been the greatest challenge since the loss of your parent?
Not having him here to teach me how to be a Man .
What message would you like to share with families with a loved one still serving in the military?
Thank you Brave Soldiers for our freedoms , Freedom isn't Free .. Those at home also serve and keep the home fires burning , stay strong !
What message would you like to share with other Gold Star families?
It never gets easier , some people say they will never forget but most do . It is for you that loved them to keep their Legacy alive , a face to a name!
