Honor your hero with thoughts, memories, images and stories.
Herbert R Bachant was a very proud father of triplet girls born 5 months before he was killed near Rennes, France on Aug 1, 1944. His half-track sustained a direct hit by a German 88 antiaircraft gun hiding in the hedge rows during the BreakOut campaign in the battle for France. He rode with the 4th Armored Division, and was under Patton's Army.
