    Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, September 25, 1921.
    Confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Arlington Hill, 1935.
    Attended Farnsworth School, Cleveland Jr. High School.
    Graduated from Johnson High School, 1939.
    Attended the University of Minnesota, 1941-1942.
    Completed Civilian Pilot Training, May 1942.

    Service Record
    June 18, 1942 Enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
    June 4, 1943 Accepted appointment as Ensign.
    June 5, 1943 Reported to Naval Air Training Center, Corpus Christi, TX and transferred to Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL where he was designated as Naval Aviator (Heavier-than-air).
    Aug 29, 1943 Reported to Carrier Qualification, Training Unit, Glenview, Illinois, for temporary active duty.
    Sept 5, 1943 Transferred to the Fleet Air, West Coast, Naval Air Station, San Diego, California, for further assignment to duty involving flying.
    Sept 29, 1943 Reported to Fleet Air, Seattle, Naval Air Station, Seattle, Washington, for active duty as a flier in a Fighting Squadron.
    Oct 16, 1943 Died as a result of plane crash in water, in Vicinity of Cordoova Bay, North of Victoria, British Columbia. (Pacific Area)
