Even though I never met him face to face, I feel I know Uncle Glancy from the many stories and photos shared by our family. The oldest of eight children, he holds a special place in his brothers & sisters hearts. How Grandma must've grieved over the death of her first-born. Even though he was not here in body, he was with her always in spirit -- as shown in the photo pin she wore so often. He will never be forgotten as long as there is a Hogue-Lucas descendant.
The first of many in our family to enlist in our country's wars. He, along with his great nephew, Adam, gave the ultimate sacrifice. GOD BLESS THEM AND OUR COUNTRY!
